SeaWorld & Discovery Cove Guide Book Reviews

Beyond Disney: the Unofficial Guide to Universal, Seaworld & the Best of Central Florida, ISBN 0764526332

A companion to the long running The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World edited by Bob Sehlinger, this paperback book was published in August 2003 by Hungry Minds Inc. and is an insiders guide to Central Florida's non-Disney attractions. A newer edition was published in October 2005.

If you take your visit to the Orlando theme parks seriously then the Unofficial Guides are the books for you

The Beyond Disney book covers the other 11 major theme parks across central Florida and includes complete coverage of Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, SeaWorld, Discovery Cove, Busch Gardens, Cypress Gardens, Gatorland, Kennedy Space Center, Splendid China (now closed), The Holy Land Experience, Wet 'n' Wild, Watermania and Church Street Station.

It also goes into detail about the various Orlando dinner shows and some of the smaller attractions on International Drive like Ripley's Believe It Or Not!, Wonderworks and Skull Kingdom.

There is a chapter on where to stay with the pros and cons of the various parts of International Drive, Lake Buena Vista and the I-4 corridor and US-192 in Kissimmee.

If you are planning on visiting the Orlando area then this is a great book to take on the plane with you and keep in the glove box of your car.
