Moon Launch!: A History of the Saturn-Apollo Launch Operations, ISBN 0813020948

Moon Launch! is a companion book to the Gateway to the Moon and was written by Charles D. Benson and William B. Faherty and published by the University Press of Florida in February 2001.

It is a reprint of the second half of the original Moonport: A History of Apollo Launch Facilities and Operations.

Moon Launch! details all of the Apollo missions (Apollo 1 to 17)

While the Gateway to the Moon concentrates on the construction of the launch facilities, Moon Launch gives full details of the development of the mighty Saturn V rocket used to launch the Apollo capsules and the gigantic crawler-transporters used to move the Saturn rockets from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the launch pads

Amazingly, the same crawlers today transport the assembled Space Shuttles.

It details all of the Apollo missions (Apollo 1 to 17) from the tragic fire of Apollo 1 to the final successes of the first landings and the near disaster of Apollo 13.

Nearly 500,000 people watched the last mission, Apollo 17 lift off in December 1972 on what was to be mans last journey to another a planet for the foreseeable future.
