The 2008 edition of Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Dining Guide was published on September 18, 2007 by Disney Editions. Its compact size makes it easy to carry with you when you are in the parks but a lot of the contents of this book can also be found in the main Birnbaum's Walt Disney World book.
The book is billed as the insiders guide to Disney dining style and every restaurant, lounge and bar at the four major Disney theme parks, Downtown Disney and the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels is separately described.
The first chapter, How to Book a WDW Table, covers the essentials on making a reservation.
There are separate chapters on the four main parks, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's MGM Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom, plus Downtown Disney and the WDW Resorts.
There are also chapters on Character Meals, WDW Dinner Shows, WDW Clubs and Lounges, Celebration and WDW Recipes describing some of the favourite Walt Disney World food.
Every entry gives you details of where the restaurant is located, the kind of service available, an idea of the sort of menu and whether they serve snacks, breakfast, lunch or dinner.
There is also a helpful rating of each restaurant according to a price band ranging from less than $10, $10-20, $21-45 and over $45 so you can budget in advance.
One of the most useful sections of the book is the 'where to find it' section at the back. Here you will find lists of restaurants that fit into over 30 different categories so if you fancy a Chinese meal, something suitable for the kids, a romantic dinner for two or you eating alone, you can check out the best restaurants for every situation.
