The 2007 edition of Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Without Kids was published on October 1, 2006 by Disney Editions and is one of several Disney books written specifically for adults vacationing without children.
It follows the same general layout as the flagship Birnbaum's Walt Disney World book but is tailored to adults looking for fun, nightlife, shopping and even romance including weddings and honeymoons.
Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Without Kids 2008 was published on September 18, 2007
If you are planning on visiting with children then you would probably be better off looking at the standard Birnbaum's Walt Disney World book instead.
There are five main chapters totally around 220 pages in this slim volume plus colour photographs, illustrations, maps and some discount coupons. As Birnbaum is the only official Disney publisher, it tends to have all the latest details of new attractions and prices but perhaps in not as objective as more independent publications.
The first chapter, Planning Ahead, deals with planning before you go, for example, the best times to go to beat the crowds, monthly temperatures and rainfall charts, what to pack, special events, golfing vacations and cost and time saving tips. There are also sample itineraries and touring schedules geared towards adults.
The second chapter, Checking In, reviews all of the resort hotels including those in the Downtown Disney area, combined land-sea vacations with Disney Cruise Lines and details of Walt Disney World transportation.
The third chapter, Theme Parks: The Big Four, covers Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's MGM Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom with the emphasis on adult orientated attractions, rides and shows.
As well as

Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Without Kids 2007 can also be bought at other book stores like

The fourth chapter, Diversions: Sports, Shopping and Other Pursuits, looks at the water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, natural distractions, romantic excursions, speciality cruises and resort spas.
The final chapter, Dining and Entertainment, reviews all the Disney restaurants, dinner shows and nightlife.
Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Without Kids is part of a set of 5 Birnbaum books about the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Cruise Lines (see reviews of the other Walt Disney World books in the series below).
There have been many guide books written about the Walt Disney World Resort and the central region of Florida. We are constantly reviewing many of them and our aim is to publish reviews of the best Walt Disney World Resort guide books on these pages.
Note that most guide books are re-published annually so you can often pick up a bargain if you don't mind last year's edition.
