Florida offers a great jumping off point for a cruise around the Caribbean and Mexico aboard a luxury cruise liner.

There are a large number of cruise lines offering a number of different destinations and particularly if you have never cruised before it can help to read up about the subject before you book your cruise to make sure you get the best value for money.

With exotic destinations like Cozumel in Mexico, Freeport in Grand Bahama, and the islands of the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Jamaica and Grand Cayman amongst others, you are spoilt for choice.

It is worth finding out as much as you can about both your destinations and also the ships themselves. Today's large cruise liners are like floating towns, three football pitches long with as many as 10 decks, several thousand passengers and over a thousand crew.
