The PassPorter Walt Disney World 2007 Deluxe book is a unique kind of travel guide that combines a planner where you can plan out your itinerary, an organiser to keep everything together when you visit Walt Disney World, a journal to record your activities and impressions and a keepsake to show your family on your return.
The PassPorter series have won numerous literary awards including the Benjamin Franklin Award for Best First Book by a New Publisher and is published in full colour throughout.
All the PassPorter guide books are backed up by a dedicated website where you can review and download corrections and updates.
The PassPorter Walt Disney World guide book is written by Jennifer Marx and Dave Marx and is unusual in that it comes in several editions.
The Standard edition costs just over half the price of the Deluxe edition. It is spiral bound so it folds flat and comes with 14 built-in organiser pockets, called PassPockets on which you can make planning notes (plus store loose items like brochures, maps, tickets, receipts etc. inside them) and an elastic band to keep the whole thing securely closed. It also has a place to record character autographs to save buying a separate autograph book.
The Deluxe edition of the PassPorter Walt Disney World has the same content and is much like a Filofax in that it comes in a padded 6-ring embossed, brown leather-look vinyl binder which means you can add, rearrange and remove pages at will. You can also download additional content and updates from the PassPorter website and add extra PassPockets. The binder itself also has 10 interior slots for storing maps, ID cards, tickets etc, a pen (included) and a place to personalise the binder.
You can also buy the PassPorter Walt Disney World as a Deluxe Refill Kit (pre-drilled looseleaf text) to insert into your existing Deluxe ring binder. This means if you are a keen Disney fan who visits Walt Disney World on a regular basis, then you can just buy new inserts each year rather than buying the book and the binder.

The 2007 edition has been fully updated to include in-depth coverage of Disney's "Year of a Million Dreams", Epcot's 25th Birthday and has over 290 pages, printed in full colour with detailed appendices and an index. The opening chapters cover planning the trip including budgeting tips, getting there and back, best times to travel and what to pack.
Over 80 pages are dedicated to the 20 onsite Walt Disney World Resort hotels and other nearby hotels with between 4 and 6 pages on each hotel including photos, room layouts and a detailed resort map showing the location of the main amenities including swimming pools, restaurants and transportation points. Ideal when trying to select a room.
A further 85 pages are devoted to reviews of all the theme parks with fold out maps of the four main parks, information about tickets and short descriptions/reviews of every attraction.
The Marx's 13 year old daughter provides a child's perspective with "KidTips," "TweenTips," and "TeenTips" and there is also age-appropriateness ratings to give the parents an idea of suitability.
The rest of the book covers reviews of all the 250 plus restaurants with information on priority seating, menus, character meals and dinner shows plus details on backstage passes, treasure hunts for the hidden Mickeys, childcare, special occasions, events and holidays.
PassPorter also publish a companion book about the Disney Cruise Line, PassPorter's Field Guide to the Disney Cruise Line 2007.
There have been many guide books written about the Walt Disney World Resort and the central region of Florida. We are constantly reviewing many of them and our aim is to publish reviews of the best Walt Disney World Resort guide books on these pages.
Note that most guide books are re-published annually so you can often pick up a bargain if you don't mind last year's edition.
