Independent guide and review of Florida as a holiday destination

Walt Disney World Resort Guide Books

Without the aid of research and a decent guide book, you will not get the maximum enjoyment out of a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. There is simply too much to do and not enough time so you need to plan your visits carefully to avoid spending far too long in queues and missing the best attractions and shows.

The Walt Disney World Resort covers over 47 square miles (an area twice the size of Manhattan), so it is no good just turning up at the gate with no idea of what you want to do. Do as much research as you can and buy at least one guide book, it will be money well spent.

As Bob Sehlinger so eloquently puts it in his Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World "when it comes to Walt Disney World you either need a good plan or a frontal lobotomy"

The Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Guide is the official guide but you cannot ignore The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World by Bob Sehlinger. It has sold over 4 million copies since it was first published in 1984 and is the world's number one best selling travel guide.

Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World by Bob Sehlinger

There have been many guide books written about the Walt Disney World Resort and the central region of Florida. We are constantly reviewing many of them and our aim is to publish reviews of the best Walt Disney World Resort guide books on these pages.

Note that most guide books are re-published annually so you can often pick up a bargain if you don't mind last year's edition. You won't get the very latest information but you could save yourself quite a bit of money.

Also look out for special deals on most Internet book sites where you can often buy two related books at a special discounted price.
