SeaWorld Halloween Celebrations

At SeaWorld, the Shamu's Halloween Spooktacular runs each weekend from early October to Halloween night and is suitable for the whole family. The 2011 dates are October 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30 and the fun begins at 12 noon each day and ends at 8 pm.

Throughout the park there is the chance to meet many unusual sea creature characters including sea witches, mermaids, polar bears, penguins, pumpkin fish and a walking and talking spider crab, all included in the standard admission.

New for 2011 is a new entertainment at Penelope's Party Zone featuring a DJ, games and colourful characters plus the chance to decorate your own apple at the Apple Decorating Post (for a nominal fee).

There is also the Countdown to Halloween Live Musical Stage Show featuring Count Von Count, Elmo and friends from Sesame Street.

You can dress-up in your favourite costume and go trick-or-treating around SeaWorld's "spooktacular" exhibits. The Spooktacular map leads you to 15 different treasure stations each featuring lots of treats.

There is also Count Von Count's Spooktacular Breakfast "Booffet", where you could feast on a buffet breakfast in the company of Sesame Street characters. Reservations are required.

If you wanted to make a night of it, then there was a separate Spooky Spectacular Sleepover (suitable for families with children in kindergarten through to fifth grade) from 6 pm to 9 am. Tickets include an evening pizza snack, continental breakfast, crafts and activities and sleeping at the Shark Encounter. You can also get a next day admission ticket at a discount.
