Legoland Florida

Lego have announced the opening of Legoland Florida on the site of Cypress Gardens in Central Florida.

It will be the largest Legoland to date and will create 1,000 jobs. It is expected to open in late 2011.

Universal Orlando has announced a new ticket pricing structure called "U Select", in time for the opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It follows a similar idea introduced by Walt Disney World in 2005, the Disney "Magic Your Way" ticket system and the idea is to encourage guests to visit the Universal parks for more than just a couple of days.

Finding your way around Florida is pretty easy by car. Nowadays, more and more people have satellite navigation (satnav) systems and it is an option on many rental cars.

Though the main regions, cities and all the major attraction like Walt Disney World Resort are well sign-posted, it still helps to plan your journey before you set off. You should also think about purchasing a good road map or guide book .

How to use the Google maps

To zoom in and out, either click on the plus [+] and minus [-] buttons or drag the vertical slider.

To pan around the map, either click on one of the direction arrows or click and drag the map with the mouse held down. Click the central four arrows button to re-centre the map.

Use the option buttons in the top right to view as a map, a satellite image or a hybrid satellite image with major roads superimposed.
