Lego have announced the opening of Legoland Florida on the site of Cypress Gardens in Central Florida.
It will be the largest Legoland to date and will create 1,000 jobs. It is expected to open in late 2011.

It follows a similar idea introduced by Walt Disney World in 2005, the Disney "Magic Your Way" ticket system and the idea is to encourage guests to visit the Universal parks for more than just a couple of days.

Checked Baggage AllowanceBritish Airways have republished their checked baggage allowances on domestic and long haul flights. On flights to the USA, First and Club World passengers are allowed to check in 3 bags whilst World Traveller Plus and World Traveller are allowed 2 bags. The allowances on domestic UK flights are only one bag unless you are making an ongoing British Airways international connection in which case the long haul allowance prevails. All bags must be 23 kgs (51 lbs) or less but an amnesty is in force until September 30, 2007 allowing bags up to 32 kgs to be checked in. Excess baggage charges have been standardised at £30 per extra bag on domestic flights, £60 per extra bag on European flights and £120 per extra bag on long haul flights. Customers will get a 30 per cent discount on these rates if they pre-pay online. The changes came into full effect in September 2007. |
