If you are not bothered about having the very latest edition, you can often pick up a bargain by buying the previous year's edition.

Walt Disney World Resort

There are five books on the Walt Disney World Resort itself. The main Birnbaum's Walt Disney World guide covers just about everything and then there is an edition especially for kids, Birnbaum's Walt Disney World For Kids which is aimed at the 8 to 14 year age group.

If you are specifically visiting without kids then you might want to consider Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Without Kids which focuses on attractions and activities more suitable to adults.

New from 2009 is a pocket guide, Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Pocket Parks Guide.

Finally if you like your food and especially if you intend to purchase the Disney Dining Plan, then you should consider Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Dining Guide.

Disney Cruise Line & Disneyland Resort

For anyone contemplating a Disney Cruise, then there is Birnbaum's Disney Cruise Line and making up the set is a book on Disney's other US theme park, Disneyland in California, Birnbaum's Disneyland Resort.

All the Birnbaum guide books are fully illustrated throughout with colour photographs and maps.

If you are looking for independent guide books that are perhaps a bit more critical, then consider the various books from Fodor (Fodor's Gold Guides), Frommer (Frommer's Complete), Passporter or the Unofficial Guide series as well as a number of other books.

The Complete Guide to Walt Disney World is another excellent guide book to the Walt Disney World Resort Resort.
