Birnbaum's Disney Pocket Parks Guide 2010 |
|
The Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Pocket Parks Guide is a new addition to the official Birnbaum Disney guide books and was first published on September 30, 2008. It is edited by Jessica Ward and Jill Safro. Format: Paperback It is a slender volume that can easily be slipped into your pocket or backpack and taken with you into the parks. It is not intended to replace the main Birnbaum's Walt Disney World guide, but rather as a supplement that is easier to keep with you on your travels. It ignores all the planning phase (which is covered in the main book) before you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort and concentrates on helping you get the most out of your trip once you are in Disney. To that end, The Pocket Parks Guide features fold-out maps, a removable day planner and a secure pocket where you can keep your park tickets and other important receipts like FastPass slips. As an alternative, consider Mini Mickey: The Pocket-Sized Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, 2010 which is part of the Unofficial Guide book series. The 2010 edition features details of new shows, parades and attractions, more "Hidden Mickeys" and updated time-tested daily park schedules; conveniently perforated so you can pop them into your pocket. You even get dozens of Hidden Mickeys to look out for as well hot tips and dining recommendations. As well as the four main parks, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom there is a chapter on the two water parks and other activities such as golf, biking and boating. For each of the four parks, there is useful information on getting there, parking, a park overview plus baby facilities, details of all the shows, attractions and rides and the best are highlighted with the "Birnbaum Best" seal. Buy This BookAs well as Amazon.com, Birnbaum's Disney Pocket Parks Guide 2010 can also be bought at other book stores like Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.ca. To help you plan your stay there are sample one day schedules for each park which you can even tear out if you are travelling that light and a personal itinerary/trip tracker to record reservations, confirmation numbers etc. Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Pocket Parks Guide is part of a set of seven Birnbaum books about the Walt Disney World Resort, the Disney Cruise Line and the Disneyland Resort in California (see reviews of the other Walt Disney World books in the series here).
Note that most guide books are re-published annually so you can often pick up a bargain if you don't mind last year's edition. |
