The first edition was published way back in November 1998 and now, 10 years later, this second edition has been fully revised. It is co-authored by Doris Bardon and Murray D. Laurie who are both well versed in Florida's rich and diverse culture.

The book is organised by geographic region and town so if you are staying in a particular area you can quickly find local attractions.

Each attraction is described along with it's telephone number, address, directions on how to find it, opening hours, admission charges and facilities like parking, shops and restaurants.

If you are interested in a particular subject then there is a categorised index covering everything from Archaeological Sites to Theaters. Other subjects include Art Museums and Centers, Battlefield Sites like Olustee, Children's Museums, Colleges and Universities, Cultural Centers, Gardens, Historic Houses like Cá d'Zan, Historical Museums, Historic Villages, Military Museums, Performing Arts Centers and Science Museums.

A second index is organised alphabetically by attraction and gives the nearest city.

The range of subjects is vast, covering everything from African American culture, antique cars, auto racing, aviation museums, baseball, botanical gardens, cartoons, citrus fruit, the Civil War, deep-sea diving, hunting, lighthouses, minerals, Native American history, photography, the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, shells, space exploration at the Kennedy Space Center, swimming and yachting.
