Frommer's South Florida covers four main areas; Miami, the Everglades and Biscayne National Park, the Keys and the Dry Tortugas and finally the Gold Coast around Palm Beach. Around half the book is devoted to Miami.

Lesley Abravanel has also worked on a number of other Florida travel guides; including Frommer's Florida, Florida for Dummies, Frommer's Portable Miami and Frommer's Florida for $70 a Day as well as writing for the Miami Herald.

Like other Frommer's guides, a very good feature is their 'Favourite Experiences' and their 'Best of South Florida' section covering a whole range of topics including the best hotels in a range of different categories, restaurants, museum, cultural experience, snorkelling spot, beach, public golf course and best dive bar.

Note that most guide books are re-published annually so you can often pick up a bargain if you don't mind last year's edition.
