Even when it rains in Florida, there is still plenty to do. Most of the time it is not particularly cold and most rain showers are short lived so even if you get wet you soon dry out.

The major theme parks like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens will generally stay open in anything other than really bad weather and for a few dollars you can buy a poncho to keep the rain off. Water parks like Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach may close for safety reasons particularly during thunderstorms.

A few parks have a raincheck policy so make a point of asking on arrival if the weather is looking doubtful. Walt Disney World and Universal Studios have started to formalise their bad weather policies to bring peace of mind to all visitors.

If you would rather stay dry then there are plenty of other things to do like visiting a museum, gallery or aquarium, seeing a show like Cirque du Soleil®, going to an entertainment complex like DisneyQuest, or even shopping in one of the many Florida malls and outlets.
