STOP PRESS: September 23, 2009 - Cypress Gardens and Splash Island Water Park have closed again indefinitely. The park has now been bought by Legoland Florida and is set to re-open in 2011. Like most of the Florida theme parks, anyone aged 10 or over on the day of their first entry to Cypress Gardens is classed as an adult and will have to buy an adult ticket. Children between the ages of 3 and 9 are classed as children and may purchase a child ticket. Children under the age of 3 are admitted for free. If you are aged 60 and over you are classed as a senior and can get a discount. Cypres Gardens have split the park into two and you can buy individual tickets to each park or a combined ticket. Prices are about 40% lower than in 2008. Note that Splash Island admission will be seasonal and in 2009 it will close on October 18. During the season it will be open on weekends and on weekdays during the Summer months of June, July and August.
