Lego have announced the opening of Legoland Florida on the site of Cypress Gardens in Central Florida.
It will be the largest Legoland to date and will create 1,000 jobs. It is expected to open in late 2011.

It follows a similar idea introduced by Walt Disney World in 2005, the Disney "Magic Your Way" ticket system and the idea is to encourage guests to visit the Universal parks for more than just a couple of days.

To support active service personnel, Seaworld Parks & Entertainment are running a program called "Here's to the Heroes" which runs until December 31, 2010. Any active-duty, active reserve, ready reserve service member or National Guardsman is entitled to one free single day admission (per year) to many of the former Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks including SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay under the "Here's to the Heroes" program. Note that dependents can take advantage of the offer without the service member being present though an adult must accompany any minors.
