Legoland Water Park |
Legoland Water ParkBy starting with the existing Cypress Gardens Splash Island, Legoland Florida has been able to renovate, enhance and re-theme the water park in double quick time and it is due to open in time for the 2012 summer season. The new Legoland Florida Water Park will be a combination of some of Cypress Gardens's original rides plus new rides similar to those found in Legoland's California water park.
Legoland Florida Water Park The original Splash Island's VooDoo Plunge 60 foot drop tube/slide ride will become Splash Out whilst the duelling 375 feet Tonga Tubes become the Twin Chasers and the interactive Polynesian Adventure play area and pool becomes the new Lego Joker Soaker with its 300 gallon soaker bucket. The Lego Wave Pool will have very gentle waves and zero-entry access so everyone can enjoy it. Nearby will be The Imagination Station where kids can experiment and play with flowing water. The Build-A-Raft River features see-through single and double tube rafts with oversized Lego blocks that float to allow guests to customise their ride down the 1000 foot lazy river. The whole area will be themed with Lego models and vegetation. A brand new Duplo Splash Safari for toddlers (kids aged 5 and under) is also being constructed and will feature a shallow pool, smaller slides, shading and giant Duplo animals. Entrance to the water park is from the existing Legoland Florida park and can only be accessed as an add-on to the normal theme park admission. It is an extra $12 for aged 3 and over and an extra $3 for aged 2 and younger. Premium Annual Pass holders will gain free admission as part of their ticket. It will only be open on normal park days from summer through the fall and like the main park will be closed on some Tuesdays and Wednesdays except during peak periods. |
