Lego have announced the opening of Legoland Florida on the site of Cypress Gardens in Central Florida.
It will be the largest Legoland to date and will create 1,000 jobs. It is expected to open in late 2011.

The new Aquatica water park by SeaWorld opened on March 1, 2008. As with all the theme parks, if you are a Florida resident, you can often get discounts and special privileges with a Florida residents ticket. If you want an annual passport to Aquatica, then you have to buy it in conjunction with either SeaWorld or Busch Gardens, there is no option to just buy an Aquatica annual passport at this time. Like most of the Florida theme parks, anyone aged 10 or over on the day of their first entry to SeaWorld or Aquatica is classed as an adult and will have to buy an adult ticket.
Children between the ages of 3 and 9 are classed as children and may purchase a child ticket.
Children under the age of 3 are admitted for free.
If you are aged 50 and over you are classed as a senior and can often get a discount such as with the annual passports.
